1. Corporate Structure & Jurisdiction

Northwind Market Portal (NMP) is a trading platform operated by Northwind Market Portal, a firm legally registered in the server-nation of Alexandria. NMP is a subsidiary of Northwind Financial Group, the parent company registered in Redmont. All stock trades on this platform are legally executed within Alexandria under Alexandrian law.

Echo Trading — trading real-world financial instruments with Redmont server currency — is prohibited within Redmont but is permitted under Alexandrian law. To ensure legal compliance, all deposits are converted from Redmont Dollars ($RD) to Alexandrian Dollars ($AD) at a fixed 1:1 peg upon receipt. All trading activity occurs in $AD and is therefore governed exclusively by Alexandrian jurisdiction.

2. Currency Rules

$RD (Redmont Dollar): The currency deposited and withdrawn via the DemocracyCraft economy. $RD is accepted from the player's Minecraft account and immediately converted to $AD upon receipt by NMP.

$AD (Alexandrian Dollar): NMP's internal trading currency, permanently pegged to $RD at a 1:1 ratio. $AD is the denomination for all trades, positions, and account balances on this platform.

Withdrawal restriction: $AD balances may only be withdrawn as $RD to the user's verified Minecraft account on Redmont. Direct $AD transfers, peer-to-peer $AD transfers, and other conversion methods are not permitted and are not supported.

3. Trading & Fees

NMP charges a 1% fee on all executed orders, applied to both buy and sell transactions. For buys, the fee is added to the subtotal; for sells, the fee is deducted from the gross proceeds. Fees are non-refundable and are retained by Northwind Financial Group as revenue.

Market orders execute at the best available price at the time of order submission. Limit orders execute at the specified price or better. NMP does not guarantee execution of limit orders if the market does not reach the specified price.

4. Risk Disclosure

5. Account Verification

Users must verify ownership of their Minecraft account via micro-payment verification before trading. One Minecraft account may only be linked to one NMP account. Accounts found to be sharing Minecraft identities will be suspended.
